Pumpkins, rides, carving .... FUN!

Today was a day that the kids and I have long awaited for. James finally was home with us!!! He has been either working or going to school and we really don't get as much time with him these days. So lucky for us this weekend he was off and also had no school. Expect for tonight he is working but we did get to spend all day with him. We started our day by dropping James motorcycle off for maintenance and then heading to breakfast. Afterwards we headed to the pumpkin patch which Brock has so patiently been waiting to go to. Unfortunately it was ridiculously cold and windy, but rain or shine nothing was going to keep those to kiddos away.

We already had pumpkins which I bought at Walmart for like $4 and which I might add our size pumpkins were being sold for $15 at the patch. The kids just really wanted to ride the rides and run around like crazy! Alyvia wasn't digging the big slides or jumper but there was a mini petting zoo and she was in wonderland with all those animals. Brock is our wild child who loved the huge slide, tried to do running jumps down it, then the huge jumper he was attempting to do flips. Got to love that kid!! They both had fun feeding the animals then Brock went on a swing that scared me a little at how high and fast it spun, but the pictures speak for itself he absolutely loved it. Definitely my daredevil.

Once we got home, James took over and the carving of the pumpkins began. They both had a blast and were so grossed out over what was inside but none the less still participated in cleaning their own pumpkins. Afterwards we had some fun and took a few family pictures. It was such a wonderful day and I think we all needed that. Its been a while since the four of us did something as a family. I for one will be very happy once James finishes school. Here are some pictures but I took over a 100 so feel free to look them up on my facebook or photobucket.

4 year wedding anniversary 10-15-09

A few weeks late but better then never, right? James and I recently celebrated our 4th anniversary. We didn't leave the house or go all out but had a nice dinner at home with the kids. We probably sound old and boring about now LOL. Between James school and work it was just less of a headache and easier to just stay home. Its amazing how fast time truly flies. Some days we can look at each other and say if feels like yesterday we just started dating, or it feels like yesterday we just said I do. In the last 4 years we have grown closer then I think we ever thought possible. We now have two beautiful children, a home of our own, a dog, and cat. He is the best thing that could have possibly happened to me.

James, I love you with all my heart and then some and thank you for choosing me to be your wife and mother to your children. Happy anniversary and I can't wait to celebrate the next 50+ with you.

T-BALL Season again!

So I think I have mentioned this before but Brock started his T-ball again for his second season. He has had three games so far and I couldn't be prouder of the little guy. Every Wednesday we have practice from 5:30 to 6:30 and then Saturday games. Looking back from last season to this season, there is a huge improvement. He is still on the 3 to 4 year old team so of course being one of the oldest and having prior experience he does stand out a little. Next season he will be moving up to the 5 and 6 years league.

Brock is definitely the clown of the team. He loves to make everyone laugh by being silly and a little obnoxious but hey he's still young. He is one of the leaders where he wants all eyes on him. LOL We are hoping that when Uncle Arek and Aunt Shelby and the muchkins come to visist they will be able to see him play, thats what he is getting really excited for. After each game he counts down to how many more he has till they get to watch. He just loves an audience. My Mom and Chad have been able to make every game and of course Alyvia and I, and then last week my father in law made a surprise visist to the ball field and that just made Brock play all the more better.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures!!!

Rollerblading!

Brock is always into trying new things. So our neighbors have three boys, i know I've mentioned them before, and anyways the oldest is always rollerblading. Sherry had two pairs of Rollerblades so we put them on and of course Brock wanted to learn how. Lucky for us their youngest Talon had a pair that were size adjustable. Brock put them on and I helped him blade around the street. It was so much fun and absolutely hilarious! Now I know what one of his presents will be for Christmas and I think I'll get myself a pair too. I haven't been on Rollerblades in over 5 years so of course I had to get used to it again but its like riding a bike.

Welcome to our family :)

We have added a new member to our family. On Thursday September 24, 2009 James, the kids, and I headed on down to Lied Animal Shelter to scout out what type of dogs we could adopt. Now we did prepare the kids that it was a huge possibility that we may not be taking home a dog that day. Lied had over 150 dogs available for adoption and we walked from corridor to corridor taking a peek at everyone. I think we were there for about two hours just looking. James and I narrowed it down to 3 dogs that really caught our eye but in the end there was just one that picked us. Canon is a Shepherd Mix with we think boxer; he is about 5 months old so I gave him a birthday of April1, 2009. On his history it said he was found wandering the streets so he was very obviously a stray. Before we adopted him, one of the workers brought him out to us and he was just perfect with the kids, didn't bark one, didn't jump on them, was just real mellow, and then he came over to me and put his front paws on the shoulders and just rested his head on me like he was giving me a hug. I was completely sold and so was James. One thing that was truly rewarding is Lied is a kill shelter so we very well saved his life.
I do believe that he was once a pet to someone because he is potty trained and is crate trained. Canon is very spoiled with his new doggie bed, and his treats that the kids give him. I believe that this was the final touch for our family. Hope you like our pictures too!!

Neighboorhood Fun

The one thing that we love the most about where we live is all the kids that are around here. Our next door neighbor has three boys ages 3,8, and 9. Our other neighbor that lives across the street three houses down has two little girls ages 15 months and 4 years old. There is also a ton of other kids that live on the other two streets in our neighborhood. So needless to stay we are never bored when out side. Talon (the 3 year old next door) has this powered Car that Alyvia just loves to ride in. She can't reach the pedal so if those two are getting along that day Talon will usually give her a ride. It is just precious. Here are also some random pictures of the kids from the past month. Also I have added a few pictures from when the kids and I went to the Exploration Park in Mountains Edge. It was one of the last days it was in the 100's here.

Brock absolutely loves to dress up in his many different costumes!

She always finds something to amuse herself with... who ever said kids need toys never had a box to play with :)

This is called the Green Machine that cousin Zarek has, Alyvia likes to imagine herself as a big girl!

Brother and Sister sitting together... this is rare they are both way to busy to sit down for very long.

This is the most common thing Alyvia does... she is constantly on the phone talking to whomever will listen.

Sunset Park

So first off I haven't posted in a while because my camera had malfunctioned and luckily it is under warranty so off to Canon it went to be fixed! I just got it back and was finally able to upload all my pictures from September. So I'll keep all my posts short since I have a few I want to write. :)

James and I took the kids to Sunset Park a few weeks ago to feed the ducks. We assumed there would just be few ducks around, but no I think we had just about every duck and pigeon within a mile radius surrounding us. It was a blast, Brock loved feeding them and Alyvia just stayed in James' arm the whole time watching. She didn't like how some of the pigeons would get so close to her.
