Happy New Year!

Wow, can you believe it, it is actually 2009. Geez where the heck has all the time gone??

Well, first off Merry belated Christmas. This year was one of the best Christmas' we have ever had. On Christmas Eve we went over to James' Nanas house with his side of the family. It was such a fun night and the kids got to open up there first presents of the holiday over there. Brock was so anxious and when presents were finally passed around he was so well behaved. He sat down and waited very patiently till he got the go ahead to open his presents. He got a new pair of jammies with a robe and slippers, a new book, and the movie wholly. As soon as all his presents were open he went to the bathroom and changed into his jammies. It was so cute. Aly got some new jammies a couple stuffed animals and a baby elmo. All in all it was a nice relaxing night.

When we got home Brock and I had planned to make Santa his cookies but he was no longer interested in it he just wanted to watch his new movie wholly. So luckily we had a few sugar cookies that we had decorated that day that we put out for Santa. So while he was up stairs I finished my last minute wrapping and stuffed the stockings and had everything set out. Then James came down and got Brock's new bike all ready for the morning.

On Christmas morning my mom, chad, nana, and Laurie came over to watch the kids open presents. As soon as we came down stairs Brock saw his new bike and had one of the biggest smiles on his face as he ran to the bike and got right right on. He got everything that he asked for and just loved tearing into all the presents. Brock got Bakugans, clothes, games, action figures, bike helmet and a new Hulk comforter and sheets. Now miss Alyvia really wasn't into all the opening of the presents which is probably a good thing because Brock really was. So she let her big brother do most of the opening but she absolutely loved playing with everything. She got lots of new toys like a walker, this huge half circle contraption that has a slide for new balls and sings, a baby doll, stacker toys, and of course clothes. It was such a blast to watch them and see how excited they had gotten. James got me a new pair of earrings and he got a new watch. After all presents were opened Chad and Laurie made breakfast which consisted of home made orange rolls and eggs. Then we all just sat around and relaxed.

That night we went over the Mike and Vicki's for dinner and the kids got even more presents. I tell you they were spoiled. Brock got more jammies, a new jacket, this monkey piggy bank that it annoying LOL (thanks Scott and SarahLOL) and a iron man action figure. I swear he made out big time. Aly got another walker but this one also turns into a riding toy, so she can either sit on it and scoot around or we can lift the seat and she can walk where ever she wants to go, she also got clothes, and a new sweater jacket. The kids had a great time and James and I really enjoyed ourselves.

New Years Eve was just any other day for us. James caught a nice little virus that literally put him on his butt so we stayed home and called it a night early. We were able to stay up long enough to watch the fire works on the East Coast but then we headed to bed. So that was the Holidays for us.

The kids are as always doing great. Alyvia is finally saying "Momma" all the time now and I just love it. She is walking all over the house now with her walker so I have a feeling she will be walking without assistants here sooner then later. She is also starting on solid foods from the table. She eats just about anything that we eat and gets very fussy when we don't feed her fast enough. She now has a total of 6 teeth and 3 more are trying to push through. She is always happy and every day she is doing something new. Brock is getting bigger and brighter everyday. He is always surprising me with the things he says and the things he does. He loves helping Alyvia and is getting so excited for her to walk. I think between the walker and his encouragement she will walk real soon. He is excelling in class and loves to tell us everyday what he learned and who he played with. I just can't believe how grown up my baby is. Only 4 more months and he will be 4.

James and I are the usual. We are waiting on my insurance and gap insurance to get my car paid off so we can start looking into our options of getting a second vehicle. No other new news with us. Next month is Alyvia's 1st birthday so we'll start planning that soon. We hope every one has a great new year!!! Love to all!!
