Well, we had another wedding in the family last weekend. James' dad Randy married his fiance Theresa last Saturday at the Grove in the northwest part of the valley. It was a very beautiful ceremony and intimate with only their very close family and friends in attendance. James was the best man and he looked stunning! Once the ceremony was over with we all waited around for some pictures and then headed to a Mexican Restaurant for the reception.
At the reception James and I were introduced to his new step sister and her family. They have two little girls around Brock's age whom Aly of course made friends with right away. We also got to meet a cousin of James' that he hasn't seen in over 20 years. Nana was also there as was Auntie Fi. I'm a sucker for weddings as I'm sure a lot of women are, but you can't help but think back on your own wedding! Congratulations Randy and Theresa may you both have a very happy marriage. And James.... I love you!

Halloween
Halloween was a lot of fun this year! Brock was darth vader and Aly was a pirate, Grant was supposed to be a pirate too but since it was so cold outside you couldn't really tell. Alyvia was also big enough and brave enough to go to the doors with Brock and not get scared! Major milestone if you ask me! We went trick-o-treating with the neighbors and had a great time. Since it was a school night we all stayed in our neighborhood thinking it would be faster, not... it still took us almost 2 hours to get through all the houses and by no means do we live in a big neighborhood. So needless to say the kids made out big time.
Steve, James brother, joined us for a little bit since it was his last night in Vegas before his big move to Washington. The kids thought it was great to have Uncle Steve around for a bit! Grant just hung out and tried to stay warm through it all. Not sure how the kids managed all the walking without really complaining (besides the whining their candy bags were so heavy!) this year they were troopers! Both Brock and Aly are already talking about what they will be dressing up as next year!

Pumpkin Patch
It is now November 3th and I am just now updating my blog from Halloween! There just isn't enough hours in the day anymore! This year we took the kids to the "pumpkin patch" strictly for the carnival rides. Since we already went to a real patch for our pumpkins we decided to just stop by for a couple rides since we have to drive by them every day and all we hear is, "I want to go there, I want to go there!"
It was alot of fun and thankfully not as busy. Their prices are outrageous but for $30 and an hour of somewhat peace it was well worth it!

Floyd Lamb park
After our visit to the orchard we decided to head to Floyd Lamb State Park and have a picnic. We found a nice shady spot under some beautiful trees next to the pond. The kids loved being outdoors and running around only they kept running towards the water to look at all the ducks. Once we were finished I walked them over and we each threw some bread towards the ducks. After about five minutes of feeding the ducks the geese took notice and decided to come visit only they don't stay in the water. We weren't exactly willing to get to close so we decided to call it a day but those geese followed us! After we ditched the geese I took a few pictures of the kiddos and then we packed everything up and headed on home!
Gilcrease Orchard
If you haven't been to Gilcrease Orchard here in Vegas its a must, especially around Halloween time. We got to go to a real pumpkin patch and pick our pumpkins off the vine! This was such a great experience for us and the kids had so much fun running around trying to decide which pumpkins they were going to pick. They also grow apples, carrots, green beans, zucchini, watermelon, tomatoes, and egg plant. When we were all finished we headed to the front to pay and for three large pumpkins and a half gallon of frozen apple cider we paid a whopping $9.50! Definitely heading back there next year but for those with kids... bring a wagon!
3 months old
Grant is three months old. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. I'm not sure how much he weighs but I would guess around the 14.6lbs mark. He is smiling like crazy now and loves to talk. Most nights he is sleeping from 8pm to 4am without waking up which I LOVE! Everyday he is doing something new and I'm pretty sure he'll be turning over any now!
